Surf Camp Nicaragua Accommodation

8-bed dorm: The dorms are spacious and offer room for up to 8 people. You sleep in comfortable wooden beds and have your own bathroom with a beautiful natural shower. For the toilet there is a separate room. Half board is already included in the room price.

4-bed dorm deluxe: The 4-bed dorm deluxe is a beautiful open shared room for 4 people with a breathtaking view of the sea. The four-poster beds are super cozy and all equipped with mosquito nets, so you can sleep relaxed. Attached to the deluxe shared room is a high quality bathroom with separate toilet and a large rain shower. You can reach the bathroom via a small staircase.

Nicaragua Surfing

With the surf course for beginners and advanced you learn the basics, refresh your skills or improve your turns. With the course you get into the water on 6 days!

  • 6-day surf course (Monday - Saturday)
  • 1-2 sessions per day

Surfguiding is already included in the accommodation price!

During the surf guiding you will always be shuttled to the spots that are running best at the moment. There, the guides explain the special features of the spot, show you the peaks and give you tips. You go surfing alone, the guiding is not a surf course. You can bring your own surfboards or rent them (11 € / day). Also a board insurance can be concluded optionally (5,50 € / day).

The private surf lesson is designed for good surfers who want to hone their maneuvers. A session includes 2 hours of private coaching in the water and one hour of theory. The equipment is already included as well as the transport to the surf spot.

Surf Camp Nicaragua Program

Playa Madera itself is a small, relaxed surfing village with a chilly tourist infrastructure. Thus, the small village does not offer big tourist attractions. However, the beauty is often found in the small things: there are small, lonely beaches to discover, the jungle to explore and monkeys and iguanas to spot. The best way to explore the beach is to walk north, along the cliffs and the beach. On the way back you should try a taco on the beach. At Playa Maderas you can also go horseback riding. The best time to do this is at sunset. At the camp you can also book yoga lessons and rent motorcycles.

The team of Surf Camp Nicaragua offers different trips:

The daily breakfast at Surfcamp Nicaragua is included in the price and the setting in the middle of the jungle makes the first meal of the day something very special. For those who want to look for flights on their own, Skyscanner is a good search engine to get an overview of the cities from which the destinations in question are served. The international airport is in Managua (MGA).

Surfcamp Shuttle

You can be picked up comfortably at the airport in Managua. The shuttle has room for one to 4 people and costs one-way 80 € per person. The shuttle must be booked in advance and the arrival details must be given to the camp manager on site after booking. The ride takes about 2 hours.

Public transport

It is also possible to get to Playa Maderas by local bus. However, you have to do a little research in forums and accept different options and multiple changes. The public transportation option is better if you are already traveling in Latin America and know your way around a bit better.
