The Surf Lodge is a dream come true for those who know the reputation of the surf region of J-Bay. In front of the huge panoramic balcony stretches the sea and the house is directly connected to the long white sand beach by a wooden walkway. The beach itself feels like you have it all to yourself. The stunning wooden property has a cozy lounge area with fireplace. The large pool and jacuzzi are ideal for chilling out after surfing or sitting together with friends and other guests.

Thanks to the relaxed atmosphere, you can quickly get to know each other here, for example when you prepare something to eat together in the communal kitchen or enjoy a beer on the sun deck. A surf vacation in South Africa is hard to top - whether you're looking for perfect beginner waves or want to get barreled, J-Bay is the optimal vacation destination for you! If you want to take a break from surfing, you can float around the pool on your air mattress, which has a great view over the ocean. South Africa itself is a magical place. In addition to surfing, you have the opportunity to get a little Africa feeling with a safari. From full day safaris to full day hikes, you'll always have something to do here. South Africa is lucky enough to be home to the "Big 5" (the 5 largest animals in Africa). With a little luck you can spot them all. Even around the lodge there is a variety of wildlife including monkeys, deer/antelope, flamingos, whales, dolphins, sea turtles and on rare occasions even a penguin or sea otter. It is also the perfect place for bird watching with a variety of species.

Jeffreys Bay (J-Bay):
The Surf Lodge is located in the middle of the surf mecca of South Africa! J-Bay is a world-renowned surf town and has often hosted the ASP World Championship Tour. Here everything revolves around your favorite sport - in the many bars you will meet surfers from all over the world and on a shopping tour in the outlets of the big surf brands you can stock up very cheaply with top surf equipment and clothing.

Paradise Beach is the house beach of Surf Lodge South Africa and as the name suggests, a day on this fine-grained, white sand beach feels like heaven on earth! Dolphins cavort in the sea here and sometimes you even get to see whales.

You will be shuttled to the surf beach of J-Bay during the surf lessons. If you want to go to Jeffreys Bay outside the lessons, you can easily take one of the cheap private shuttle buses or a rental car. The ride takes a little less than 10 minutes.

Trip to the lighthouse

Shopping:
In J-Bay the surf industry is very present and you can store here very cheap surf stuff. All well-known surf brands are represented with their outlets, where you can get great deals. So you should not miss out on a shopping afternoon.

Pro Surfer:
If you're ever at one of the best righthand pointbreaks in the world, you shouldn't miss watching the pro surfers. The best time is off-shore in the early morning. With a little bit of luck there will be a surf contest during your vacation.

Lighthouse:
A walk to the lighthouse at sunset is definitely worth it! Postcard motifs and great Insta-stories possible. A place that brings back great memories.
