The Surf Lodge Portugal is the perfect accommodation for chilling, surfing and leisurely holidays. In the evening, the in-house bar is ideal for a nightcap and during the day you can chill by the pool. The house has a huge, furnished pool terrace with attached garden, a large sea view yoga deck and outdoor gym with a view of the nature reserve. The garden planted with palm trees, the perfect weather and the view of the Atlantic ensure the absolute holiday feeling. Even if you retire to the winter garden of the pool terrace in the evening, you still have the beautiful view of nature and the sea!

The second accommodation option, the Surf House, is located next to the surf lodge on a large, connected property. In the Surfhouse you can enjoy complete peace and quiet. You are always free to use the lodge's communal areas, have a beer at the bar or cool off in the pool.

Here in the Algarve we enjoy almost 300 days of sunshine a year! So you can enjoy the sun to the fullest, whether you're dangling your feet in the pool, making yourself comfortable on our sunbeds, running to the beach or riding the waves! The Surf Lodge Portugal offers you the perfect mix of relaxation and action. In the garden there is an outdoor shower with a beautiful wooden terrace that you can use to chill out, sunbathe and do yoga. Brand new is our outdoor gym, which can be used for an extended sports program in addition to surfing and yoga. And if you rent a car, you can of course park it right in front of the house.

In the Surf Course S you go into the water on two days and the course includes a total of 6 hours of practice and theory. The introductory surfing course offers you the opportunity to find out whether surfing is something for you.

We offer you top surf courses with our local partner surf schools. The surf coaches are very knowledgeable and will teach you how to surf at the beach break - easy, safe and lots of fun!

The perfect place for your first surfing attempts

In the Surf Course XL you go into the water for 5 days and the course includes a total of 16 hours of practice and theory. The surf course is the ideal introduction for anyone who really wants to try out surfing and make good progress. With the experienced surf instructors you will definitely have a lot of fun and quickly surf the first small waves. The big theory session of one hour takes place every Wednesday in the evening with a cold drink in the surf camp.

Rental

In the Surf Lodge Portugal you have the possibility to rent surfboards. You can choose between many different shapes. The on-site team will be happy to advise you and, depending on the swell size and preference, you can of course change boards.

You can also rent surfboards at the main spot of our partner surf school in Amado. There are a number of other surf shops in Sagres. Here you should find everything you need for surfing and surfing!

The surfboard costs €20 per day, the wetsuit €10 per day. In the surf course, both are already included in the price.

Yoga has been very popular among surfers for years, because on the one hand it makes you fit for the exertion in the waves and on the other hand it lets you really relax and switch off. Just get in touch with our team on site and we will be happy to arrange appointments for your surf sessions.

Cross Training is new to the program. You can attend two sessions per week. The aim of Cross Training is to create fitness in as many different body and muscle areas as possible. Many sports are combined or crossed in this way. Functional movements are constantly varied and carried out with high intensity. This creates a healthy mix of strength and endurance.

The Cross Training sessions are included 2 times a week!

Whether you are new to this sport or have been with it for a long time. Our Cross Training coach adjusts the training accordingly for you.

The group can consist of participants of different builds and still achieve the same fitness goal together.
Motivating and pushing each other is part of Cross Training and creates an enormously good feeling of mastering sporting goals together.

Discover the stunning Algarve coast from the water! The coast around Sagres belongs to the most unspoilt part of the Algarve and is perfect for a SUP tour. With us you paddle in caves, jump into the water from cliffs and see the impressive coastal landscape from the sea.

The grottos and caves in particular are a magical place when the sun shines in from above and makes the water glow green and blue. Our tour guide grew up in the Algarve and knows the coast better than anyone.

The ideal complement to a surfing holiday

The SUP tours take place at "Praia do Barrano". This beautiful, secluded beach is located between Lagos and Sagres on the south coast of the Algarve. From there you paddle towards Ingrina, stopping at the grottos along the coast along the way. Depending on the size of the group, there are always 1-2 SUP guides who will explain everything about stand-up paddling and the area and answer all your questions. Before you go into the water, your guide will explain the technology and all safety-relevant aspects on land to you in detail.

Day TripsOptional

Lagos is about 30 minutes away by car and, in addition to the beautiful harbor, fine sandy beaches with spectacular rock formations and vantage points, offers a beautiful old town for strolling and feasting. The good fish and sushi restaurants are recommended. Lagos also invites you to celebrate and have fun with its bars and clubs in the evening and at night.

Our tip: the boat and kayak tours. You can either explore the beautiful coast on a motorized boat or paddle your own kayak. Grottos and caves are visited in small boats and, if the season permits, you can admire dolphins in the wild! Some providers include small meals and the groups are small, so that you can relax and enjoy the excursion.

Breakfast (Included):
The rich breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. There is fresh fruit, muesli, cornflakes, toast, bread, cheese, sausage, eggs, jam and Nutella. Everything you need for a balanced and healthy breakfast. For breakfast you get coffee, tea, water & orange juice as much as you want! Breakfast is included in the price.

Dinner (exclusive):
You can book dinner on site at a reasonable price. We prepare rich dishes for you 4 times a week. When shopping, whether it's fish, meat, vegetables or fruit, we rely on local markets and traders who provide us with fresh groceries. Sunset BBQs with delicious soft drinks are part of it every week. In the Surflodge Portugal we also offer vegan and vegetarian dishes. You are welcome to book dinner for only €15,50 – €22.50 on site.

Arrival by plane (Faro airport)
It is best to fly directly to Faro (FAO), you can also book an airport transfer. Alternatively, Lisbon (LIS) is also a good destination airport.

Cheap airlines from Germany:
With RyanAir you can get to Portugal cheaply and easily. There are flights to Faro several days a week from Hamburg, Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt-Hahn and Memmingen.
The new airline Transavia flies very cheaply from Munich to Faro on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Inexpensive airlines from Switzerland and Austria:
From Switzerland you can fly cheaply with Easyjet from Geneva or Basel to Lisbon, with TAP and Swiss from Zurich and Geneva to Lisbon and with Niki from Zurich to Faro.
From Austria, Niki flies from Vienna and Graz to Faro and TAP from Vienna to Lisbon.

Transfer

Faro:
We offer a shuttle for the airport transfer from Faro directly to the surf lodge. The shuttle costs €100 each way and the journey time is approximately 60 minutes.

Lagos:
If you come to Lagos yourself by bus or train, you can be picked up there and brought to the Surflodge Portugal. The transfer costs €30 per person and way. After booking, write us an e-mail with the exact arrival time and, in the case of the airport shuttle, be sure to include the flight number so that we can organize the shuttle.

Rental car

>>Coming from the airport direction – Albufeira/ Portimao on the A22 – continue towards Lagos- in Lagos on N 125 towards Vila do Bispo/ Sagres – turn left at the crossroads in Raposeira – continue towards Ingrina/ Zavial here at the second right direction Ingrina further - follow the road until you see 4 large street lamps on the left - after the lamps turn right into the settlement - our Pure Surflodge is also in the complex - approx. 1 hour driving time.
