In the Surf Camp Fuerteventura there is something for every type of surfer. The local team is very friendly and consists of passionate surfers who will help you to improve your surfing. Whether you want to learn your first take-offs on shallow sandbars, practice your first bottom turns in small green waves, try to cutback on waves with long walls or want to get tubed on a lava reef – Fuerteventura has it all Living up to its name as “European Hawaii”. On the home beach of the Fuerteventura surf camp, in Jandia (only 5 minutes by bike from Morro Jable), great waves break for surfing.

The "Cruz Roja" is one of the insider tips on Fuerteventura. Big westerly swells and powerful southerly swells turn it into a beach - point break comparable to "The Path" in Australia - perfect for smooth turns on long walls. The north-east trade winds of the summer produce small but fine left-handers here, ideal for the first "green" waves and your longboard.

A breathtaking landscape awaits you in the Canary Islands

Fuerteventura is the second largest island in the Canaries and belongs to the province of Las Palmas. The island measures 1,722 km² and offers miles of beautiful sandy beaches. With 90,000 inhabitants, Fuerteventura is one of the most sparsely populated islands in the Canary Islands.

Morro Jable is located in the south of Fuerteventura, on the Jandia peninsula, where the accommodations of Surfcamp Fuerteventura are located. Playa Jandia is the largest tourist center on the island. There you will find many restaurants, a wide variety of shops, bars, discos and a long beach promenade.

Morro Jable is one of the few places on Fuerteventura that has been able to retain its authentic Spanish charm. In Morro Jable there is a small fishing port and around it the picture is characterized by narrow, picturesque streets and one-way streets. The place is located in a small bay at the beginning of the long sandy beaches of the southern peninsula. The small beach promenade with its delicious fish restaurants begins below the cliff with the church tower. It's best to stop by in the evening, then you can see the red sun going down in the sea and have a great view while enjoying the delicious food.

Morro Jable Beach stretches an incredible 26 km. Fine, white quicksand is blown onto the endlessly long island beaches by the trade winds. Those who like sun, beach, wind and crystal clear water will get their money's worth here.

Shopping:
In the apartments there is a small kitchen, in the hostel most rooms have a small fridge. In Morro Jable there are many small grocery stores. Many of these shops are also open on Sundays and until late in the evening. There is also a large and relatively inexpensive supermarket in Morro Jable. There is also a lot of vegan and vegetarian food and of course fresh fish. There is an organic shop that also sells vegan and fair trade cosmetics. Tip: In the small market hall in Morro Jable you can buy fresh food and have a delicious and cheap lunch.

Discover bays and fishing villages in the surrounding area

Via dusty gravel roads to the south-west end of the island:
Many original parts and some of the most beautiful beaches in Fuerteventura can only be reached via off-road tracks. You will drive to some of these deserted beaches in a 4x4 with the surf course.

From Morro Jable onwards, the entire south of Fuerteventura is a large nature reserve. Here you will find the highest mountains on the island, secluded bays, deserted beaches and some more secret surf spots (pssst). The beach "Cofete" has already served as a filming location for Hollywood productions. There is a small bar here. At the most southwestern point of the island is a tiny fishing village called "Punta de Jandia". Here you can eat freshly caught fish right on the water.

You can explore the south of the island by mountain bike or on guided quad or buggy tours. We are happy to help you book a tour in our office in Fuerteventura. In addition, a public off-road 4WD bus runs twice a day from the port in Morro Jable to the most beautiful parts of the nature reserve in the south of the island.

Boat trips:
The water of the Atlantic around Fuerteventura is warm, almost surreak blue-turquoise and very clean. A boat trip is a must on Fuertventura. There are various excursion boats in the port of Morro Jable. Whether party fun on the glass bottom boat, pirate tour with the family, sporty sailing on a racing yacht or action on a jet ski safari, there is something for every taste. We would be happy to advise you and help you book a boat trip. In the small surfing village of La Pared, there is another small bay, the Bahia "La Pared", in addition to the well-known beach for surfers. Here is one of the most famous fish restaurants on the island. From spring to autumn you can eat fresh fish at sunset in the sea while listening to the sound of the waves.
